The prevalence of propaganda forces every individual to become diligently self-examining about his or her beliefs and to use critical thinking in forming opinions and beliefs about the world they live in.

Seeing What You Want to See

Beware of allowing yourself to fall under the undue influence of rationalization. Rationalizing can undermine the integrity of our beliefs. We come to believe what we want to believe because it suits our emotional interests and needs, and not because of its truth value.
