Identical size suitcases

“Our days are like identical suitcases; all the same size but some people can pack more into them than others.” (P.L. Andarr)

Why do some people do better at not wasting their time; at making greater use of their natural talents; and at doing a better job of recognizing and taking advantage of opportunities than others?

Consider the following factors:

  1. Having well thought-out plans and goals
  2. Being ambitious and motivated
  3. Having a positive attitude
  4. Being resilient
  5. Being willing to take risks
  6. Being willing to work hard and try your best

Can you think of any others?

Getting Personal

How would you rate yourself in terms of how well you make use of your time, talents and opportunities, 1 to 10?

Even if you have been trying, what have you found to be the biggest obstacle for making the best use of your time, talents, and opportunities?

“Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” (Theodore Roosevelt)

“The most important thing is to try to do your best.” (Christian Eriksen)

“You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” (Wayne Gretzky)
