Though not always easy to do, changing your attitude toward what happens to you can often be the key to improving your life and increasing your happiness.
Through self-reflection, choice, and willpower it becomes possible to change the way you view and approach what happens to you, and thus to take control of the direction of your life. Instead of necessarily being controlled by what happens to you, you can regain control by changing your attitude.
For example, if you have lost your job, and cannot find another one in your field, you may need to change your attitude about changing your career field, and your attitude about going back to school or working at a job that you had not considered before. By changing your attitude you can regain control of your work life by adjusting your career goals and expanding your job opportunities.
Changing your attitude can help you get past difficult situations and open up new and positive opportunities for yourself in the future.
Getting Personal

How easy or difficult was it to change your attitude?
What, if anything, resulted from changing your attitude?
“The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes.” (William James)
“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.” (Maya Angelou)
“The outcome of your situation is directly determined by your attitude towards your problem.” (Corallie Buchanan)
