The Great Teacher

”Sometimes you must hurt in order to know, fall in order to grow, lose in order to gain, because life’s greatest lessons are learned through pain.” (Nagato)

As awful as experiences of pain can be at the time they are felt, the aftermath of pain can often leave us stronger, smarter, or more insightful.

As classically stated by the ancient Roman poet Horace, “Suffering is but another name for the teaching of experience, which is the parent of instruction and the schoolmaster of life.”

”Turn your wounds into wisdom.”  Oprah Winfrey

”Suffering is an extraordinary teacher.” Ryan Hall

“With time the pain eases, the body recovers and the brain figures out new ways to go on.” Federico Chini

Getting Personal

Have you ever had a painful experience which afterwards left you feeling that you were now either stronger, smarter, or more insightful as a result of having gone through that experience? If yes, what was it?
