The Proactive Pain of Self-Discipline

“We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.” (Jim Rohn)

We either suffer the pain of practice and preparation or the pain of regret or disappointment when we later fall short of reaching our goals. If we don’t exert ourselves or even force ourselves to do the hard work of developing our skills and talents, in the future we invariably won’t be able to function at the levels needed to succeed.

Either be willing to experience the pains of making sacrifices now or experience the pains of disappointments later, when you fall short of reaching your goals.

”There are no gains without pains.” Benjamin Franklin

“A disciplined mind leads to happiness, and an undisciplined mind leads to suffering.” Dalai Lama

You have to fight to reach your dream. You have to sacrifice and work hard for it.” Lionel Messi
