“You cannot prevent the birds of sorrow from flying over your head, but you can prevent them from building nests in your hair.” (Chinese Proverb)

While you can never completely avoid suffering, you CAN constructively lessen the extent of its negative influence over you.

Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional.” Unknown

“You either get bitter or you get better. The choice does not belong to fate, it belongs to you.” Josh Shipp

”No matter how far life pushes you down, no matter how much you hurt, you can always bounce back.” Sheryl Swoopes
