To achieve success in the long term, you need to be able to tolerate detours and delays, and then accept them as being normal, and even to be expected.

If you cannot tolerate unwanted misfortunes, you will become vulnerable to becoming discouraged; and you may be tempted to want to give up. In doing so, you will lack the perseverance need to achieve long-term success.

“By staying on top of your reactions you will be able to develop patience and tolerance; two distinct traits required for achieving long-term success.” (Annabelle Higgins)

“Tolerance, compromise, understanding, acceptance, patience – I want those all to be very sharp tools in my shed.” (CeeLo Green)

How many a man has thrown up his hands at a time when a little more effort, a little more patience would have achieved success.” (Elbert Hubbard)
