Settling for Less

“Never settle for anything less than you deserve. It’s not pride, it’s self-respect.” Chanakya

Lacking ambition, or having lost it, you could end up just settling for things, and just accepting whatever comes along.

By no longer striving for what would be most meaningful and important to you, you live your life with reduced ambitions. And this “settling for things” can often give rise to a lingering feeling of discontent and lack of personal fulfillment – feelings that could possibly stay with you for the rest of your life.

“If we lack self respect we will be insecure and strive to be someone we are not; To develop self – respect means to cultivate the self-confidence to deal with whatever life throws at us.” (Zayd Haji)

“Without ambition one starts nothing. Without work one finishes nothing. The prize will not be sent to you. You have to win it.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson”

“Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.” (Salvador Dali)
