Patience and Understanding

“Sometimes things aren’t clear right away. That’s where you need to be patient and persevere and see where things lead.” (Mary Pierce)

When you are patient, you don’t feel rushed to act or feel overly pressured to reach a conclusion too quickly. You are able to wait calmly and think more clearly before forming beliefs and making decisions, especially when you are confronted with delays, uncertainties, and unexpected developments.

If you are really serious about becoming a more understanding and insightful person, your wisest strategy would be to work at and learn to be patient.

“Patience is a form of wisdom. It demonstrates that we understand and accept the fact that sometimes things must unfold in their own time.” (Jon Kabat-Zin, American mindfulness specialist and author)

“The more patient we are, the more understanding we become.” William Arthur Ward, American motivational writer)

“Patience is when you’re supposed to get mad, but you choose to understand.” (Anonymous)

Getting Personal

What is a good personal example of a situation where you were able to understand something better and more insightfully because you had patience? If never, would you agree that that is something you really need to work on?
